description
This story in words and images narrates the journey of a water molecule. The water molecule moves through different environments, from the sky to the sea. Along the way, it connects with all sorts of beings, each revealing their own stories and perspectives. Through these interactions, the molecule begins to understand the interconnectedness of the living systems and its essential role in sustaining the delicate balance of the earth's ecosystems.
This metaphorical story is inspired by the encounters and dialogues I experienced during my month-long residency in Jordan in May 2024.

Informations
Project part of Voices of the Reef
Under the patronage of HRH Princess Rajwa bint Ali, The Aqaba Fortress hosted “Voices of the Reef” art exhibition, organized by the Jordan National Gallery of Fine Arts, with the support of the Swiss Embassy in Jordan. The exhibition featured artworks created by 11 artists who participated in the first “immersive residency” organized in May 2024 in Aqaba: Ahmad Turki, Ahmad Shaweesh, Anas Aqel, Tamara Alajlouney, Dana AbuKhalil, Sondos Abuladas, SalahEddin AlQawasmi, Lutfi Zayed, Laila Hajbi, Yasmin Al Kurdi (Jordan), and Maeva Rubli (Switzerland). The project aims to raise awareness of coral conservation in the Gulf of Aqaba through art. It also fosters dialogue between art, science, and the environment, bridges various communities and empowers established, emerging, and promising talents, be they artists, environmentalists, scientists, or social entrepreneurs, focusing on the younger generations.
